After three years in the local market, the Yamaha YZF-R15 gets a minor fresh update thanks to the new Silver colour option now made available by Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM). This new Silver colour option will accompany the current two existing colour options, Black and Yamaha's signature colour, Race Blu.

This new Silver colourway is complemented with the additions of grey and yellow highlights, as well as those bright yellow 17-inch wheels. HLYM also announced that the price remains the same at RM11,988 (excluding insurance, road tax, and registration) and each new unit will come with a complementary Yamaha disc lock worth RM100.

Powered by a 155cc single-cylinder SOHC VVA engine, the R15 produces 19hp at 10,000rpm and 14.7Nm of torque at 8,500rpm. All that power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed manual transmission that comes equipped with an assist and slipper clutch.

Other specs include dual disc brakes, telescopic front fork, rear link monoshock, 11-litre fuel tank, Deltabox chassis, and more. The new silver 2021 Yamaha YZF-R15 is already available at all authorised showrooms nationwide.
