The 2020 Perodua Myvi finally gets ASA 2.0 and a new, blue hue

By daryl, 15 July 2020

Some Perodua Myvi owners may have experienced a fair bit of taunting from peers who recently purchased a brand new Axia or Bezza despite how the models are positioned in the national carmaker's line-up. This is because the more compact duo, both of which were facelifted fairly recently, pack Advanced Safety Assist (ASA) 2.0 at their respective top ends. The irony here is that ASA first debuted in the third-generation Myvi.

All of that is about to change as Perodua has announced that the Myvi will finally be getting ASA 2.0. This bumps the operation range of its pre-collision warning and pre-collision braking features up from 30kph to 100kph and 80kph respectively. ASA 2.0 also adds pedestrian detection (up to 50kph) to the Myvi's list of safety features.

Perodua has also added a new paintjob to the Myvi's catalogue, with the "Electric Blue" shade pictured replacing the "Peppermint Green" and "Mystical Purple" colours previously on offer.

Prices for the full Perodua Myvi line-up with ASA 2.0 (on selected models) and the 2020 sales tax exemption factored in are now as follows:

Myvi 1.3G (5MT): RM41,292
Myvi 1.3G (4AT): RM43,029
Myvi 1.3X (4AT): RM44,959
Myvi 1.3X (4AT, with ASA 2.0): RM46,959
Myvi 1.5H (4AT, with ASA 2.0): RM50,530
Myvi 1.5AV (4AT, with ASA 2.0): RM52,697
