M Sport Package now available for BMW X3

Think the locally assembled (CKD) third gen BMW X3 looks a little… boring? Well, you’re not alone in this, and BMW Malaysia have heard your cries for an injection of sporty styling.

Today, BMW Malaysia have announced a new M Sport Package option made available for the lone X3 xDrive30i model it offers locally. Aptly, this option lets you spice up the X3 with a number of sporty exterior bits plus a few premium cabin enhancements to match too.

With this option, the X3 gets 20-inch Style 669 M lightweight alloy wheels for a start, followed by M Sport suspension and brakes, M Sport aerokit, plus an aerodynamic rear bumper with tailpipe finishers in gloss chrome. This option also sees the exterior treated with the BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line accents.

Exterior enhancements aside, the M Sport Package further enhances with the X3’s cabin too. On board, this option adds M Sport leather steering wheel and doorsill finishers, aluminium cabin trims with Pearl Chrome highlights, M-specific pedals set, as well as black Vernasca leather upholstery with blue contrast stitching.

Lastly, colour choices for M Sport Package will include Alpine White, Carbon Black, Glacier Silver and Phytonic Blue.

So, how much does it cost to spice up your X3 xDrive30i? Well, the M Sport Package option retails for an additional RM15,000 on its own on top of the X3 xDrive30i’s RM313,800 base price. It will be available through all authorised BMW dealerships nationwide starting from 27th September onwards.

However, there is some bad news to this. BMW Malaysia says just 120 units of which will be available. Yeah, we're just as baffled as you are as to why BMW Malaysia have imposed this limitation.

Like what you see? Or would rather wait and hope that BMW Malaysia introduces the real deal X3 M instead?
