Look at this Novitec-modified Lamborghini Huracan Performante

The Lamborghini Huracan Performante is a serious bit of kit. You’ll know this if you’ve seen the footage of it setting the then-record for the fastest production car to lap That There German Track. Now Novitec, a German modifier of many things, has supposedly made it yet more serious. It’s done this with wings, wheels and suspension.

Wings – Novitec claims its Huracan is even more aerodynamically efficient than the standard car, which, don’t forget, already has a fancy ‘ALA’ active rear-spoiler. Novitec’s additions are made from the same forged carbon as the standard items, so it keeps the distinctive marbled look. The front lip is supposed to reduce front-axle lift, while the new rear-deck is designed to give better directional stability. New rocker-panels feature enlarged air intakes to better supply cooling air to the brakes.

The bespoke Vossen wheels are shod with Pirelli P-Zero rubber. And if you’d rather not be able to change a wheel without a 10-foot long wrench, you can specify centre-lock hubs.

Special suspension lowers the ride height by another 35mm (to, presumably, minus millimetres) and a new exhaust is fitted to liberate even more volume from the N/A V10. We’re told “engine tuning for the sportiest version of the Huracan model series is currently still under development”, which sounds promising.

An improvement on the original?
