2022 Toyota GR Supra A91-CF Edition launched - 600 units only

By sep, 03 June 2021

The North American market gets one hell of a treat in the form of the 2022 Toyota GR Supra A91-CF Edition. Only 600 units will be made available, and all of them are exclusive to North America. What does the CF Edition stand for? Well, carbon fibre, baby.

The GR Supra A91-CF Edition comes ready with a bold yet functional carbon fibre body kit which consists of a new front splitter, larger canards, side rockers, and most importantly, its duckbill spoiler that perfectly elevates the GR Supra's overall aggressive looks yet smooth curves.

And they're functional, too. Altogether, the carbon fibre body kit improves downforce performance a well as overall stability especially when you're ripping around the track (or just some spirited drives up and down the hills). All that carbon fibre goodness is further complemented with a set of 19-inch matte-black wheels, and of course, its matte-gray Phantom paint scheme (also available in Absolute Zero White and Nitro Yellow).

The insides also get the exclusive treatment thanks to its red/black theme that runs throughout its Alcantara/leather trims. Like the outside, there are also some carbon fibre interior trims that were designed to match with red stitching details found on the sport seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel, alongside a set of sport pedals to round it all off.

Toyota has retained what's under the bonnet, which is the 3.0-litre inline-six turbocharged engine that produces 382hp. That is matted to an aggressive eight-speed Z-F8 transmission with paddle shifters that's able to propel the GR Supra A91-CF Edition from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Braking is taken care of courtesy of Brembo, along with the other usual specs like Adaptive Variable Sport suspension and an active rear sport differential.

Each 2022 Toyota GR Supra sold in North America will come with a complimentary one-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association (NASA). Perks include a free High Performance Driving Event (HPDE), discounted admission to NASA-sanctioned events, and many more. Pricing will be announced in the coming months.
