Honda Europe has announced that the Super Cub and Monkey 125 will be returning to their current line-up where both models have been updated to meet with the latest Euro5 emission regulations. The new 2022 Honda C125 Super Cub and Monkey 125 come with new exterior features, enhanced engines, and upgraded chassis components for greater comfort.

Starting with the 2022 Honda C125 Super Cub, its biggest change lies within the chassis in the form of a new 125cc single-cylinder SOHC air-cooled engine that produces around 9.2hp (6.9kW) and 11Nm of torque. The new engine is fitted with upgraded intake and exhaust together with a new ECU mapping to ensure that Super Cub is Euro5 compliant as well as hitting a fuel economy rate of 1.5litre/100km.

Perhaps its biggest and most eye-catching change is the new Mat Axis Grey Metallic colour scheme which blends together with the bike's red seats. That's right, seats. The new Super Cub also has a pillion seat, rear footpegs, and reworked rear suspension to accommodate the extra passenger. Certainly, a cool way to pay homage to the original 1958 Super Cub.

As for the 2022 Honda Monkey 125, it also comes with the new 125cc single-cylinder SOHC air-cooled engine that is able to churn out 9.2hp and 11Nm of torque. Fuel economy is rated at 1.5litre/100km which roughly translates to around 370km of riding distance from its 5.6-litre fuel tank. This is possible thanks to its new and larger five-speed manual transmission.

The new Monkey will be made available in the newly-introduced Pearl Glittering Blue colourway to further elevate the bike's overall 'fun' factor. This extra fun-ness is also enhanced with the addition of new two-stage dual rear shocks for better ride comfort and experience, especially on rougher roads.
