2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 now open for booking - RM140k?
The 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 is coming. 170hp V4-powered ADV bike anyone?
Ducati Malaysia has been on a roll for the past few weeks after announcing the pre-booking availability for its limited-edition Ducati XDiavel Black Star and Ducati Scrambler Nightshift launch. Now, they've opened up pre-bookings for its latest and possibly one of the most interesting bikes in the market to date, the 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4.
The Ducati Multistrada V4 has been a hot-seller since its debut back in November 2020. Ducati sold over 5,000 units in less than six months of its global debut, and now, the bike is finally arriving into the Malaysian market. The reason behind all this success lies in how the Italian manufacturer has successfully included its powerful V4 engine into its ADV bike segment.
Powered by a 1,158cc Granturismo V4 engine, the Ducati Multistrada V4 has been properly tuned to produce 170hp and 125Nm of torque. Unlike any other Ducati bike, this particular power unit uses a valve spring system, the first modern Ducati bike to not use the iconic Desmodromic unit.
This means that the Multistrada V4 can make do without the costly valve clearance adjustment for the first 60,000km of its lifespan. Ducati has also proven that their latest ADV bike is tough as nails when a couple of ADV riders rode Multistrada V4 for the HQ in Bologna, Italy to the freaking Arctic Circle.
The Multistrada V4 was able to withstand -15°C riding conditions, which says a lot in any book that you may have read. Anyway, fellow Malaysians can already book one right now, and we expect to see the price float somewhere around the RM140k-160k mark. The bike will most likely be officially launched sometime in September 2021. Stay tuned for more updates.
