Read our first impressions of the Alfa Romeo Giulia

Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio 2

We all know that Alfa Romeo has this new car – the Giulia. No surprises, it looks stunning… as an Alfa should. But when they announce “Hey guys, let me introduce the Quadrifoglio. M3, be afraid,” excuse us for being a bit sceptical.

So we went to test drive it and, well, walked away genuinely impressed. Of course, 503bhp from an Italian-built twin-turbo V6 does tend to do that. Here are other facts about this car that’s worth knowing:

-          It’s not just RWD, the vectoring diff can send 100 per cent of torque to a single wheel
-          The roof and hood are carbon fibre
-          The engine has Ferrari DNA
-          The 8-speed ZF auto is very good
