To ensure safety at all its stations with NGV (natural gas vehicle) facilities, Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB) has temporarily closed NGV operations at 67 stations. The stations are located in the Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan and Johor. According to the company, this is to accommodate upgrading works.

While works are ongoing, fueling services and Kedai Mesra retail operations will go on as usual.

There is no indication how long the upgrading work will last. In any case, the number of Petronas stations that provide NGV facility is still extensive.

Previously, an explosion occurred at a Petronas station in Johor Bahru on October 25, which based on initial findings happened at the station’s NGV compressor facility during maintenance work. The incident resulted in the death of a PDB contractor.
