BMW Malaysia sees its line up updated with the new second generation 4 Series Coupe model now added. Earlier today, the firm announced that it has begun taking orders for the sole 430i Coupe M Sport variant.

Like its 3 Series saloon (G20) counterpart, expect this coupe to pack a familiar 4cyl turbo heart and 8spd automatic pairing, the former delivering a punchy 258bhp at the very least to the rear wheels via the latter.

Seasoned readers ought to know by now that the new 4er not only boasts a lower profile that the 3er, its also built lighter and stronger too thanks to clever use of aluminium and stiffer chassis bits. There's also the promise of sharper handling too thanks to the M Sport suspension and brakes fitted as standard.

Notably, there's an optional 'Innovation Package' available too. This adds more tech and luxuries, namely things like the BMW Laserlight with High Beam Assistant, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, the Connected Package Professional suite, an instrument panel brimmed with 'Sensatec', as well as Vernasca leather upholstery with three colour choices.

Even without this package, the standard-spec 430i Coupe M Sport is tastily specced with plenty. Highlights include LED headlights, stylish 19-inch M Style 797 two-tone alloy wheels, both parking and driving assistances, M Sport steering and pedals, as well as a wireless charging pad amongst many.

If all this – and that massive pair of kidney grilles – are tempting you already, you can pre-order one online at just RM1,000 from now 18 March 2021 until via this dedicated booking microsite. As for price, the standard-spec 430i Coupe M Sport commands RM418,800 whilst the Innovation Package adds a further RM36,000 to bring the grand total up to RM454,800.

So tell us then, do you prefer those grilles on a coupe at this spec and price? Or would you prefer them instead with the faster and pricer M3 and M4 twins? Or would settle for the now localised and sensibly-grilled 'M3 Lite' over any of these?
