Over 10 million users of the Waze app across the Asia Pacific region are about to benefit from a partnership between Allianz Partners and the community-driven GPS navigation app. With it, Waze users in Malaysia, Singapore, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Australia will be able to access an on-demand roadside assistance service powered by Allianz Partners.

This happens in real-time with a single click on the Roadside Help button in the app. The SOS call will be received and the user will get support from either a digital platform or call centre. Assistance will be 24/7 should there be a vehicle breakdown including flat tyre or dead battery.

The service is not new, with the same partnership already active since July 2018 in 20 countries across Europe, providing Waze users with on-demand roadside assistance to more than 22 million users.

“Working closely with Allianz Partners enables us to make our Roadside Help offerings even more comprehensive across Asia Pacific, providing Waze users with the roadside assistance they need to get to their destination safely.”

KK Kumar, Head of Waze APAC

“Allianz Partners is proud to expand its partnership with Waze to the Asia Pacific market.  Allianz Partners, as the ‘high-tech, high-touch’ assistance services leader, will be providing on-demand immediate assistance solutions to a highly digitalized audience. Together, Allianz Partners and Waze will focus on making the drivers’ experience even safer, more secure, and more convenient, anytime and anywhere."
