Volvo Car Malaysia ramps up for 2020
It’s the classic case of ‘new year, new me’ for Volvo Car Malaysia (VCM) as it announced a series of new initiatives during its #VolvoRecharged press conference held earlier today.
The event took place at the newly opened Volvo Car Regional Training Centre located within the swanky Symphony Square building in Section 13, Petaling Jaya. Said facility is housed just a floor below VCM’s equally sleek and also brand new headquarters.
Both the new office space and training centre are poised to play pivotal roles with VCM’s extensive new initiatives for the new year detailed by its marketing and PR director Akhtar Sulaiman in his opening remarks during today’s event.
VCM’s 2020 plans includes the introduction of two key new models, those being the locally assembled (CKD) version of the S60 T8 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) saloon the firm launched late last year, followed by the refreshed S90 saloon line up.
New models aside, VCM’s dealer network is also poised for further expansion starting with a brand new centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah that’s set to open its doors in the coming months.
Whilst on the subject of its network, VCM were proud to point out its 100 per cent compliance with the new Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) concept. Malaysia is only second market in the region to fully comply with Volvo’s new corporate identity standards.
Crucially, Akhtar also detailed VCM’s new and extended 8-year battery warranty for all Volvo PHEV models. This new scheme covers all Volvo PHEV models registered from 1st January 2020 onwards.
Lastly, in conjunction with the festive Chinese New Year season, VCM is offering attractive deals for selected car models purchased before 29th February 2020. IT starts with the VSA 5+ complimentary five-year maintenance package rewarded for purchases of the Volvo XC40 T5 R-Design.
Besides that, purchases of the XC90 T5 Momentum and S90 T5 Momentum models also benefit with the VSA5+ package, along with an auspicious ‘ang pow’ worth RM23,888. Also, selected PHEV models will get complimentary Recharge Package worth RM10,000 along with the VSA 5+ package.
