The new Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Svartpilen 401, and Svartpilen 250 are now available with spoke wheels

The Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Svartpilen 401, and Svartpilen 250 first arrived in Malaysia back in January where these three modern-retro bikes came with cast wheels. Although the bikes looked good, fans were wondering why they didn't come with spoke wheels like the ones seen during the global launch. Now, they're here together with a slight hike in prices.

First and foremost, the 17-inch spoke wheels add a sense of style that fits all three of these street bike models from Husqvarna. Apart from looking cool, they also help with the overall riding experience as they are 2kg lighter than the variants with cast wheels.

Due to that, the overall prices for the Svartpilen 250 and both 401 models have been increased to RM29,500 and RM34,500 respectively (excluding insurance, road tax, and registration). The 401s make more sense considering the Huqvarna's Easy Shift sensor, a bi-directional quickshifter for clutchless gear shifts, is now included as a standard spec.

But all three models come ready with a six-speed manual transmission with slipper clutch, WP APEX suspension package, Brembo brakes, dual-channel ABS, and more. Any of these three options will certainly turn heads no matter where you roll just by looking at the bike's exterior design.

As for firepower, the Svartpilen 250 is fitted with a 250cc single-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 31hp and 24Nm of maximum torque. The Svartpilen/Vitpilen 401, on the other hand, is equipped with the same 373cc single-cylinder engine that produces 44hp and 37Nm of torque.

Husqvarna Malaysia will be going on a nationwide tour at selected Richiamo Coffee locations across Malaysia where they'll be offering interested parties test rides and more. From now until 5 November 2021, they are set up at the UTM KL branch.
