Triumph unveils Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition - 1,000 units

By sep, 14 April 2021

Triumph Motorcycles has pulled the covers off their latest updated Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC and XE with a bunch of changes particularly to their engines, which are now Euro5-compliant, and fitted with a new exhaust system that's able to dissipate heat a little bit better. But our eyes are dead set on a very limited edition model, the Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen edition.

What they've basically done is combining their latest and most advanced Scrambler model yet with some very premium details inspired by one of the world's most famous movies star in history. Inspired by the race-spec Triumph TR6 which was used by the legend himself in that famous barbed wire jump scene in 1963's "The Great Escape", this particular Triumph Scrambler omes in the very unique Competition Green tank, hand-painted gold lining, and heritage logos, plus many more.

Each bike comes with a billet-machined handlebar clamp that is laser etched with Steve McQueen's signature, dedicated Steve McQueen tank graphic, brushed aluminium Monza cap, brushed stainless steel tank strap, aluminium high-level front and rear mudguard, also painted in Competition Green. Each unit will also come with a certificate of authenticity, just to make sure that everything is legit.

Other highlights of the 2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen edition includes:

  • Engine protection dresser bars
  • Aluminium radiator guard
  • Premium brown bench seat
  • My Triumph connectivity system + many more

From what we've heard, this limited-edition beauty will be sold at £13,600 each (around RM77,437) in the UK starting June. If you're interested in any of the Triumph bikes, head over to the nearest authorised showrooms, particularly the one in Petaling Jaya if you're in the Klang Valley area.
