BMW's GS nameplate is 40 years old. To mark the occasion, BMW Motorrad Malaysia has rolled out the F850 GS '40 Years GS Edition', complete with the brand's iconic black-on-yellow colourway and gold-anodised wheels for a look befitting a commemorative model; one that celebrates a nameplate synonymous with some of the most competent and innovative all-terrain machines the two-wheeled world has ever seen.  

The F850 GS '40 Years GS Edition' gets the Comfort, Touring, Dynamic and Active packages as standard. It is also equipped with ABS Pro and dynamic traction control (DTC) from the factory to complement other readily available riding aids such as dynamic electronic suspension (ESA), dynamic engine brake control and shift assistant pro. As with all F850 GS models, power comes from an 853cc two-cylinder engine with 95hp, 92Nm of torque and a six-speed transmission to manage all of that output. 

Considering the F850 GS '40 Years GS Edition' is a special-edition bike that ticks all the boxes (Connectivity function included) in its options list, it is rather competitively priced at RM85,500 on-the-road without insurance. This includes a three-year warranty and roadside assistance program.
