This one-off soft-top Defender 90 costs £240,000 (RM1.3m)

£240,000 (approx. RM1,317,286) seems steep for an old Land Rover Defender doesn’t it? Luckily, the one you see above actually only cost its new owner £239,990 (approx. RM1,317,231). Bargain.

As you might have noticed, this is the work of usual Range Rover tuners Overfinch. The Leeds-based firm was approached by the mystery buyer (who presumably is also a fan of yachts) to create something completely bespoke.

And bespoke this is – not least because of that Emerald Green paint job, but also because of what lives under that contrasting silver bonnet. In short, it’s a stonking 6.2-litre Chevrolet-sourced LS3 V8 with 450bhp. Blimey.

The engine is connected to a six-speed automatic gearbox, and there are uprated brakes to help stop the thing. Thankfully, top speed is also limited to 177kph, although it’ll no doubt feel faster thanks to the sports exhaust and lack of roof.

Check out that interior too. This was apparently once a four-seat Defender, but there are now just two Recaros and the boot is filled with some nautical-style teak decking. The tan leather with green stitching is rather eye-catching too.

So, what do you reckon Internet? A custom soft-top Defender, or a used Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé? Hmmmm…
