This Novitec Lamborghini Urus has almost 800bhp
Novitec’s Lamborghini Urus may not have as much power as the tuned SUV du-jour, the Brabus G V12 900, but it is quicker. Mainly, we suspect, because it doesn’t have the aerodynamic properties of a row of terraced houses.
The German tuner’s modifications (a plug-and-play control module, a new exhaust system and probably a few other bits) take the Lambo’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 to 771bhp and 1032nm - 130bhp and 182nm more than standard. The result is 0-100kph in 3.3 seconds and a top speed just shy of 322kph. This, remember, is basically the same engine you get in the new Audi RS6. Imagine the possibilities…
Of course Novitec doesn’t stop there. Its ‘Esteso’ bodykit adds 10cm to the Urus’s front axle and 12cm at the rear, making it precious narrower than an actual bus. The kit is made from something called “PUR-Rim” and comes in 14 parts, meaning it’s relatively easy to fit. Other bits, such as spoilers, skirts and a part-carbon bonnet are available too.
The wheels aren’t bad, actually. 23-inches, shod with impossibly wide Pirellis and available in 72 different colours. And Novitec has also modified the control module for the Urus’s standard air suspension so it rides 25mm lower, so those wheels fill more of its blistered wheel arches.
As for the interior, Novitec says it’s only too happy to “fulfill even the fanciest requests” from its customers.
No word on pricing, but it’s going to be a substantial sum over and above a regular Lambo Urus. Like it? Or is the Brabus’d G more your style?
