This is the Polestar 3 under a sheet

First there was the Polestar 1. Then there was the Polestar 2. Next? The Polestar 3, of course. Today’s news is that the “aerodynamic electric performance SUV”, due to go into production next year, will be built in the good ol’d US of A at a Volvo factory in Ridgeville, South Carolina.

Building the 3 in the US makes “the brand even more competitive in the critical American sales market”, according to Polestar COO Dennis Nobelius. CEO Thomas Ingenlath said “Polestar 3 will be built in America, for our American customers… From now on, the USA is no longer an export market but a home market”.

The Polestar 3 will “debut the new generation of electric vehicle architecture from Volvo Car Group” and feature “industry-leading connectivity features” as well as “high-end, safety-focused autonomous driving features”.
