The Jannarelly Design-1 UK Edition is £20K more than a 911

To celebrate its imminent arrival in the UK, Jannarelly has revealed five special ‘UK Edition’ versions of its Design-1, which officially went on sale last November.

The Design-1, which was first announced way back in 2016, is a lightweight, rear-wheel driven retro roadster that uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 and a six-speed manual transmission. It has 325bhp and hits 100kph in less than four seconds, or so we’re told. We can’t wait to try one so we can verify those claims.

Each of the five ‘UK Edition’ cars costs from £115,549 – just under £30,000 more expensive than the standard car, and over £20,000 more than a Porsche 911 Carrera – and will be built to ‘Coupe’ specification.

The five cars are finished in red, white, blue, green and grey (green and grey being the colours of the UK itself, presumably) respectively, and will feature a special carbon engine cover and side blades decorated with the Union Jack, plus a plaque. Because everyone loves a plaque (except your dentist).

Co-founder Anthony Jannarelly says: “The UK Edition cars truly reflect Britain’s extensive racing heritage but utilise the very best of modern materials to offer customers a classic car experience with 21st century engineering and design.”
