The Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid just got a bit more appealing
Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors has confirmed that bookings made by 31 August 2018 for the Ioniq and Tucson (variant and Elegance variants) will still a zero-rated GST even if delivery can only be made after 1 September 2018.
As it is, sales of Hyundai vehicles have picked up during this tax holiday period – something which most, if not all, car companies are enjoying – particularly for the Ioniq Hybrid and Tucson models. As commented by Dennis Ho, MD of Sime Darby Motors, “With our stock for the Ioniq Hybrid and Tucson depleting fast, we will need time to replenish the stock in order to fulfill customers’ demands. It is only fair that HSDM absorbs the SST for orders by 31 August 2018, even for vehicles delivered after the SST takes effect.”
The Ioniq Hybrid HEV is currently priced at RM94,788, the higher spec Ioniq Hybrid HEV Plus at RM109,988, the Tucson Elegance at RM119,188, and RM137,488 for the Tucson Turbo.
