The BMW S 1000 RR not good enough for ya? Check out the BMW M 1000 RR

BMW Motorrad Malaysia has finally brought in the brand's first-ever properly-spec M bike, the 2021 BMW M 1000 RR. Designed to conquer superbike race series around the globe, particularly WorldSBK, the M 1000 RR is essentially an evolution of the S 1000 RR (technically like Pokemon's Charmander evolving to Charizard).

It's clear that the M design language has been put through its paces when designing the M 1000 RR. You can see this particularly on the front end thanks to those powerful-looking winglets that help with overall stability as well as braking. Carrying the ability to infinitely adjust according to any rider's size and riding style, the M 1000 RR is also fitted with modified race geometry, swingarm pivot point adjustability, full-adjustable suspension package, plus many more.

If power is what you want, its 999cc inline-four engine with BMW ShiftCam technology carries an output of 212hp at 14,500rpm and 113Nm of torque at 11,000rpm. This was achieved by utilising a new set of Mahle 2-ring forged pistons, enhanced combustion chambers, revised compression ratio, lighter rocker arms, as well a new lightweight titanium exhaust system. The power-to-weight ratio is also very impressive as the M 1000 RR sits on a wet weight of only 192kg.

Other notable features include:

  • Selectable riding modes (including Race Pro 1-3)
  • Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) with wheelie control
  • Six-axle sensor box
  • Shift Assistant Pro with anti-hopping clutch
  • Launch Control + Pit-Lane Limiter
  • Hill Start Control Pro
  • M carbon wheels
  • 6.5-inch TFT display + many more

BMW Motorrad Malaysia has priced the new BMW M 1000 RR at RM249,500 (on-the-road price excluding insurance). It's already arrived at selected authorised BMW Motorrad dealerships across Malaysia, and it's only available in the Light White, Racing Blue Metallic and Racing Red colour combo.
