Meet the latest from TC Subaru – the XV GT. It’s a special edition model produced in collaboration with Giken Co. Ltd. and Masahiko “Jack” Kobayashi who at one time was the Chief Designer (Head of Global Advanced Design Studio) at Subaru Corporation. Among the vehicle he helped pen (he more likely used CAD) was the exterior for the WRX STI, plus another 12v or more production models.

Back to the XV GT then, which comes with:

1.     Front bumper lip extension with integrated canards

2.     Side skirts

3.     Roof spoiler

4.     Rear bumper extension

The crossover stands on 17-inch alloys, in addition to an interior featuring bespoke carpets and seat-leather design inspired by the ‘cabins of high-performance grand tourers from Germany and Britain’ (their words, not mine). Completing the equipment package of the Subaru XV GT Edition is a dual side view monitor system, which enables drivers to park and manoeuvre with ease.

The company plans GT Editions of the Subaru WRX, WRX STI, Levorg and Forester as well.

The special edition Subaru XV GT is priced at RM130,788 (without insurance).
