Special edition ES and RX models join Lexus Malaysia's 2021 catalogue
Lexus Malaysia is banking on its proven best-sellers to get its ball rolling in 2021, with the joint introduction of the Lexus RX300 Luxury Special Edition and ES250 Limited Edition.
The former, based on the RX300 Luxury we tested last year, gains an 'exclusive aerodynamic body kit' consisting of a new front bumper spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper diffuser. It is priced at RM421,910 on the road without insurance as the SUV nameplate's new range-topper.
Meanwhile, the ES250 Limited Edition sets itself apart from the standard saloon with an inlay of bamboo wood trim in the doors, dashboard, centre console and steering wheel. Lexus claims that the bamboo is hand-picked from sustainable forests in Kochi, Japan and is sculpted by the brand's famed Takumi craftsmen before making their way into the cabin of the ES. This model is priced at RM320,511 on the road without insurance.
The Lexus RX and Lexus ES have suitably played a key role in the Lexus family by developing a strong interest in the Lexus brand. They have continuously delivered an overall package that not only impresses from its design, but the high level of quality finish, equipment and luxurious drive have made these the best-selling models in the Lexus stable
- Ravindran K, President of Lexus Malaysia
Orders for the new Lexus RX300 Luxury Special Edition and ES250 Limited Edition will be open from mid January, with sales beginning in February 2021 to allow buyers to take advantage of the extended sales tax exemption, which is reflected in the quoted prices. As with all Lexus models, they are backed by a five-year unlimited mileage warranty.
