The Scorpio Electric X1 electric scooter is now available for pre-order in Singapore

Singapore's first-ever electric scooter, the Scorpio Electric X1, is now available for pre-order after its official global unveiling last week. Designed as the next solution to urban mobility, the X1 comes with a futuristic yet relatable design and an electric motor that can hit decent speeds as well as good mileage without using a single drop of petrol.

According to Joshua Goh, Deputy CEO of Scorpio Electric, "We are thrilled to be unveiling our first X1, from Singapore to the world. Just like the most powerful star in the Scorpio constellation, the X1 will be a leader in her category. As the first Singapore electric vehicle brand, we continuously push boundaries to perfect design, performance and technology. We are one step closer to sharing our vision with our riders – a future of electric mobility that was unperceivable."

Its integrated powertrain allows the Scorpio Electric X1 scooter to hit a top speed of 105km/h. If mileage is of a concern, the X1's battery pack allows the user to travel around 200km per single full charge, which is more than enough to tackle your everyday riding scenarios, particularly your daily commute to and from the office.

The X1 has also been deemed a 'future-proof' electric motorcycle as it comes with specs like keyless entry, remote locking, real-time vehicle status information (including estimated range), smart navigation, and many more. According to the brand's pre-booking site, the X1 is priced at $9,800. Those who are interested can place a booking of $1,000 (excluding the processing fee).
