Shell and Toyota work together to give free check-up for all cars

It’s not just Hari Raya Aidilfitri around the corner, because other major celebrations happening in the country around the same time are the Harvest Festival and Hari Gawai. In conjunction with this, UMW Toyota Motor and Shell Malaysia launched the “Balik Kampung Safety Campaign” with the objective to remind everyone of the importance of safer motoring during the mad rush of travels during this period.

With this campaign, the two companies are offering 36-point free inspections to all makes of vehicles. It will be held at 20 selected Shell stations nationwide, with trained Toyota personnel conducting the inspections.

“We have carefully identified Shell stations for the free vehicle inspections. It is selected not only based on convenient locations but also the integrated offerings available at these stations. For complete ease of mind on your journey home this festive season, besides the free 36 point inspection, customer can have their car engine oil changed at Shell Helix Service Centre, take a break and grab refreshments at our Shell SELECT/KEDAI, and fuel up with our Shell Fuels with DYNAFLEX Technology that is designed for efficiency,” said Shairan Huzani Husain, managing director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. and Shell Timur Sdn. Bhd.

Each vehicle inspection (of any brand, not just Toyota) will take no more than 15 minutes with the car owner receiving a goodie bag. Toyota owners will also get a 10 per cent discount voucher for selected parts purchased at Toyota service centres. Additionally, each of the first ten customers for the day will also receive a RM10 fuel voucher.
