Sagree Sardien is the new president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has officially announced the appointment of Sagree Sardien as the new President and CEO of the company and Head of Region for Mercedes-Benz Cars SEA II. Sardien will assume the role previously held by Claus Weidner, who completes his six-year tenure in Malaysia having first arrived here in 2015. 

Sardien brings over 20 years of automotive experience to her role as MBM boss. In that time, she spent 13 years with Daimler, starting out as Head of Operations in South Africa for the company's Fleet Management Division. While in her home market, Sardien also took on various leadership positions in logistics, sales, product management and customer service before moving to Stuttgart in 2018 to become the Head of Sales for Region Overseas markets comprising of Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Egypt, Turkey and the Middle East.

Joining Sardien in Malaysia is Edmin Naidoo, who comes on board as the new Vice President of Customer Services, MBC Malaysia & SEA II. Naidoo's 25-year career with Mercedes Benz includes a 15-year stint in South Africa. Most recently, he was the Director of Customer Services at Mercedes-Benz Australia.
