Random guy spots Polestar 2 and Porsche Taycan out in the wild

Here’s a video of a guy in Germany who not stumbled upon not one but two highly anticipated and yet-to-be-launched EVs getting juiced at public charging stations. The first is a pair of Polestar 2, in black and looking ‘well-travelled’, perhaps Polestar taking advantage of the heatwave in Europe for some additional tests. No camo whatsoever too, but why would it need any after our video of it?

And then ‘Schrag’ sees five Porsche Taycans lined up in a row at another charging station. These ones have some disguise, with stickers to hide details of the headlights and rear lights. And at least two cars are on different anchors based on brake caliper colours. But for crying out loud, can there be a standard for public charging stations, including for length of cable? Or can Porsche consider re-locating the Taycan's charging port? Unless it wants scratched fenders?

The Polestar 2 is expected to be available from early 2020, while the Porsche Taycan is scheduled to be in production sometime this year. Want to find out more? Learn more about the Polestar 2 here, while the Taycan, here. Note: Sime Darby Auto Performance has already revealed that the Taycan could very well arrive in Malaysia in 2020.

*Schrag drives a Tesla 3. Oh, the nerve.
