PUSPAKOM says don't wait until 1 October 2021 for vehicle checks

Appointment slots are limited at PUSPAKOM, so don't wait until the last minute

Following the announcement from Malaysia's Road Transport Department (JPJ) regarding the end of the moratorium period for expired driving licenses and road taxes on 1 October 2021, PUSPAKOM is urging everyone who needs their vehicles checked to get things done before the said date.

This is due to the fact that the current National Recovery Plan only allows a certain percentage of the workforce to be on-site as well as only appointments are accepted at the moment. This is especially crucial particularly for commercial vehicles and cars used for e-hailing services.

These vehicles with PUSPAKOM reports expiring from 1 June until 30 September 2021 can start booking for vehicle inspection appointments online and it's best to do so as soon as possible to avoid the high-volume rush at the end of September. This also goes for those looking to get the B5 report in order to exchange the vehicle's ownership status.

Another reason why you should get the PUSPAKOM checks done and dusted early is the risk of some branches being closed for sanitisation operations. Looking at how cases are at an all-time high, especially in Selangor, it's better to be safe than sorry in terms of health as well as obtaining the proper documentation for your beloved vehicles.
