Petronas now is in the business of car servicing following the launch of the company’s first AutoExpert service centre at Shah Alam. The new venture is done through Petronas Lubricant Marketing Malaysia (PLMM) and Petronas Lubricant International (PLI) together with local independent partner, Autohaus, which is an experienced and full-fledged auto service provider.

As you can imagine, Petronas will offer their top-end products to be exclusively used in the AutoExpert facility. The first AutoExpert launched earlier today by Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir is the first of 100 centres expected to be opened in Malaysia, with more to come across 30 countries in the next five years.

“Having the Petronas AutoExpert service centre allows customers to enjoy Petronas’ technical expertise under one roof at their convenience. Again, we are geared to move like never before by offering valued added services that are usually associated with under-warranty care only, accessible to all drovers and passenger car types worldwide. Ultimately, we strive to deliver seamless and frictionless experiences consistently,” said Syed Zainal.

The new venture not only gives Petronas direct access to a large pool of customers, but also benefit independent workshops which gets access to systems and tools that help facilitate a more efficient service. The AutoExpert centre in Shah Alam, for example, now boasts the latest tools and technology manned by trained mechanics to conduct vehicle inspection, engine diagnostics, oil changes, and more. There are 14 repair bays to ensure customers don’t have to wait long. Not that they’ll have much to grumble as there’s a comfortable waiting lounge with light refreshment and WiFi for their use.
