Fuel retailer Petron Malaysia and leading non-national carmaker Honda Malaysia recently collaborated for a joint road safety initiative, giving out free 32-point vehicle safety inspections to motorists.

The effort saw Honda Malaysia conducting said vehicle safety inspections at four Petron stations in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Pahang and Terengganu over a course of four days from 1st to 4th August 2019.

Notably, the inspection wasn’t exclusively limited to Honda cars, and up to 1,100 cars of various makes were given this free inspection during this initiative’s run. Petron has been working closely with Honda Malaysia to provide the free car inspection service at select Petron service stations in various states.

“We are pleased to offer this service to our customers together with our partner, Honda Malaysia, to instill in the public the importance of preparing their vehicles before hitting the road. With this, we hope that there will be lesser road accidents especially during the festive seasons,” said Petron Malaysia Corporate Safety, Security, Health and Environment Head, Lokman Hani.

Last year, Petron held 20 car safety inspections for more than 3,800 cars at various Petron stations as part of its long-standing road safety program.
