It hasn’t felt that long ago but apparently the current-gen Perodua Myvi was launched into the Malaysian market in November 2017, and since then Perodua has delivered more than 100,000 units. The milestone is – according to Perodua Sales Sdn. Bhd. managing director, Dato’ Dr. Zahari Husin – equivalent to over 1,560 units weekly.

The customers are apparently happy too with positive feedbacks that includes them liking the Myvi’s style, practicality, ease to drive and low running costs. Adding to the list are the car’s generous space relative to its compact size as well as the advanced features.

“The Perodua Myvi is by far the most successful model in our history. The original Myvi launched in 2005 into a market then dominated by sedans.

“By 2013 it had overtaken the Kancil’s all-time sales (708,000 units from 1994 to 2009) and to date, we have sold nearly 1.1 million Myvis altogether,” said Dato’ Dr Zahari.

Perodua has so far received 150,000 orders for the third-gen Myvi and is working hard to make prompt deliveries to buyers.

In 2018, the company sold a record amount of 227,243 cars, making it the leading car Malaysian carmaker for the 13th consecutive year. Since Perodua’s start in 1994 they have sold nearly 3.5 million cars.
