Perodua donates over RM87,000 worth of equipment to Shah Alam Hospital
Perodua is still going strong with its efforts to support the country's healthcare
Perodua has contributed over RM87,000 worth of medical equipment and gifts to the Shah Alam General Hospital. This gesture is part of the company's initiative to support the efforts of Malaysia's healthcare as well as the front-liners who have been dealing with the pandemic since the start of it all.
Perodua's CEO, Dato' Zainal Abidin Ahmad, was present for the handover ceremony to the Shah Alam General Hospital Director, Dr. Ruzita Othman. The equipment donated were a standing warmer, photolights, high-tech jellypad, stethoscope neonates, a LSCS set used during caesarean, and 10 surgical scissors.
The front-liners and patients were also presented with hampers as a cherry on top of that very generous donation. According to Dato' Zainal, "We aspire to be a responsible corporate citizen and we will assist where we can in ensuring consistent and continuous access to medical supplies for hospitals and our entire health care system. We will continue to communicate with key public institutions and the Ministry of Health to see where we can add value in the country’s healthcare system."
