Want to put a booking on the upcoming Proton SUV? Well, then get off that couch and sit down again because bookings can be made online. As of 10am 17 October 2018 customers can go to the Proton corporate website (proton.com/protonx70) and place that booking with just a few clicks (or taps, in the case of touchscreen). To promote this new platform, there is also a ‘flash sale’ until 19 October which let’s you place that booking with just RM99.

“After studying consumer preferences and market trends, PROTON believes the time is right to offer an online booking facility to our customers. The platform allows bookings to be made from anywhere a customer is as long as there is an Internet connection available. The Company has also decided to reward those who make a booking prior to the launch of the Proton X70. This will come in the form of special gifts for all early birds regardless of whether they booked their unit online or at our outlets,” said Abdul Rashid Musa, CEO of Proton Edar.

Bookings made online require the buyer’s personal details, preferred model and colour of choice, on top of the city and state where the car will be collected from. A receipt will then be issued via email after payment of booking is done online. A Proton sales advisor will then be assigned to call the customer within seven days and get the ball rolling. Change of mind? No worries as full refund is given.

Right now, the Proton X70 preview sessions will continue after a few events in East Malaysia. The next ones will be in Kuantan, Ipoh, and Kota Kinabalu. According to Proton the attendance to these previews has been overwhelming with the majority of customers saying that they are impressed with the quality and specifications.

The Proton X70 will first be manufactured in China, with local assembly units expected to start by next year once the production line in Tanjung Malim is ready.

Full specification of the Proton X70 is now available in the booking site. But you can also read about that at the links below:
