Nissan X-Trail Hybrid recalled for engine room harness issue

By sep, 20 December 2021

All Nissan X-Trail 2.0L Hybrid models from June 2018 until May 2021 might be affected

Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) together with Tan Chong Ekspress Auto Servis (TCEAS) has announced a voluntary product recall campaign for the Nissan X-Trail 2.0L Hybrid variant. It seems that they've located an issue pertaining to the 'Engine Room Harness'.

According to ETCM, the issue is directed towards the Hybrid Power Line as damages may occur due to interference with the car's engine edge or Transmission Control Module bracket. Models produced, registered, and sold between June 2018 and May 2021 are listed in this voluntary product recall campaign.

All owners that are affected by this issue will be notified via letter, SMS, or WhatsApp to be advised to head to the nearest TCEAS outlet for an appointment. Second-hand car owners can also make an appointment to resolve the matter and all labour and enhancement parts will be at no cost.
