At the launch, a total of four variants (two for the 3008 and two for the 5008) were introduced, each packing even more tech and features than before plus a few aesthetic enhancements.

Overall design remains unchanged, as does the single 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol 4-cylinder powetrain choice in both the 3008 and 5008. They are the standard-spec Active variant, followed by a premium Allure variant capping things.

In standard Active trim, both the 3008 and 5008 gets halogen headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels for a start. On board, the signature Peugeot i-Cockpit suite sports several upgrades, now boasting Apple CarPlay support and a refreshed aesthetic.

Standard equipment includes an Arkamys premium 3D hi-fi, keyless entry and ignition, dual-zone automatic air-con with rear vents, powered front seats, tasty black leather upholstery, built-in navigation functions, as well as cruise control.

On the safety front, the 3008 is brimmed with six-airbags, hill-descent control, hill-start assist, anti-skid regulation, stability control, tyre-pressure monitor, ABS + EBD & BA, not forgetting six airbags and ISOFIX childseat anchors as standard.

Opt for the Allure premium trimline and safety is strengthened further with the inclusion of active lane-departure warning and correction, blind-spot monitor and warning, as well as driver attention alert.

The premium-spec variant also benefits with added convenience thanks to the inclusion of a powered tailgate. Other posh additions here include a largest-in-class glass panoramic roof, cabin ambient lighting, as well as full-LED forward lighting.
