Though the Movement Restriction Order (MRO) has halted its assembly and distribution operations at its facility in Gurun Kedah, national bikemaker Modenas instead chose to answer a more pressing calling over the weekend.

Last Sunday, a handful of the firm's employees successfully held a quick donation drive where it managed to raise a host of essential items urgently required by medical staff treating Covid-19 patients at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar, Kedah.

Items amassed by Modenas staff during said drive included industrial fans, electric kettles as well as bottled water. The effort, according to Modenas CEO Roslan Roskan, was intended at bringing comfort to the frontliners working tirelessly in battling the Covid-19 pandemic in the country's Northern region.

“A very small gesture to the doctors, nurses, health workers, volunteers, medical professionals and not forgetting the security guards, which without them, the livelihood of our country as we know it would grind almost to a halt. With them, some sense in preserving normalcy in our country during these difficult times is made possible,” expressed Roslan on the firm's humanitarian effort.

It goes without saying, we at the TopGear.com.my team give the folks at Modenas a deserving salute on this effort aiding Covid-19 frontliners in Kedah.
