Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 arrives in Malaysia - 408 hp, 760 Nm, RM390k

In addition to the EQS 450+ and the EQB 350, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia also took the wraps off the EQC 400 4MATIC today.

Capable of covering up to 437km with a fully charged battery, the EQC 400 produces 408 hp and 760 Nm of torque, enabling the EV to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds while clocking a top speed of 180 km/h.

While AC charging time from 10% to 80% of juice is rated at 7 hours and 30 mins, DC charging can be done in just 40 minutes.

Essentially a pure electric GLC, the all new EQC 400 4MATIC features the AMG Line exterior and AMG bodystyling, further finessed with a 20-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels, aluminium-look running boards with rubber studs, MULTIBEAM LED headlights, and Windscreen wipers with rain sensors.

Adding to the AMG theme is the AMG Line interior with Direct Select shift paddles. The EQC 400 4MATIC includes the Interior Light package, and an Aluminium-look trim with the Multifunction sports steering wheel in nappa leather and the Dashboard in man-made nappa leather look with the upholstery in leather black.

The EQC 400 4MATIC also comes with Heat and noise-insulating acoustic glass, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function and a 4-way lumbar support. It also includes the Keyless-Go Comfort package, featuring Keyless-Go, Hands-Free Access and Eeasy-Pack tailgate.

The EQC 400 4MATIC as a standard includes the Thermotronic automatic climate control, Ambient lighting, AMG floor mats, the Roof liner in black fabric, Roller sunblinds in left and right rear doors, Wireless charging system for mobile devices in the front and with the elegant touch of the Door sills with EQC-specific lettering, illuminated and with exchangeable cover. 

The vehicle also includes a Stowage Space package, Twin USB charging ports in the rear (Type C) and a 12 V socket on the left of the luggage compartment.

The all new EQC 400 4MATIC features an alternating current charging system (AC charging) up to 11 kW and a direct current charging system (DC charging) up to 110 kW. 

For further ease, it will also include a charging cable for wallbox and public charging stations measuring at 5m, straight. Additionally in the vehicle’s technology, Acoustic ambient protection is also included as a standard and Dynamic Select.

Safety and driver asisstance features include Distronic, Pre-Safe system, and Active Steering Assist. The vehicle also comes equipped with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus and Urban Guard vehicle protection which features an Anti-theft alarm system and an Interior monitoring system from the driver’s Mercedes me app. 

Also included is the Parking Package with 360-degree camera that includes a 360° camera and Active Parking Assist with Parktronic.

For further ease, the Mirror package is also included with automatically dimming exterior mirror on the driver’s side and the rear-view mirror, and also features electrically folding outside mirrors and Surround lighting in the exterior mirror.

There is also a Tyre pressure monitoring system, Tirefit, Knee airbags and the Mercedes-Benz emergency call system.

Infotainment is handled by the latest MBUX multimedia system, Head-up Display and MBUX Interior Assistant. The vehicle is surrounded with the Burmester surround sound system and a Preinstallation for Navigation Services and Hard-disc navigation. 

For greater ease, the vehicle is equipped with Preinstallation for Remote and Navigation Services, Preinstallation for Live Traffic Information and the standard Smartphone Integration featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

That being said, the EQC 400's estimated price is RM390,000 on the road without insurance.
