By sep, 16 February 2021

Mercedes-Benz is off to a great start in 2021 as the first brand new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class rolled off the Factory 56 production line in Stuggart, Germany earlier this week. This particular unit marks the 50 millionth unit produced in the brand’s global production network, and what an achievement to be proud of.

According to Jörg Burzer, member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz AG under Production and Supply Chain, “Mercedes-Benz has always been synonymous with luxury. That’s why I’m very proud of this very special production anniversary: Fifty million vehicles produced is a significant milestone in the history of our company, and an exceptional achievement by the team.”

“I would like to thank the colleagues in the plants around the world for their work and their commitment. Their expertise and passion in the production of our stars make the wishes of customers all over the world come true day after day,” added Burzer.

The past 75 years of production has surpassed the 50 millionth mark, and the German premium vehicle manufacturer is looking ahead to enhance its global production network further for its electric mobility implementation. By 2022, six new Mercedes-EQ models will have been integrated into the running series production operations, with the assault being led by Factory 56 in Stuggart, Germany.

All we can say for now is “Herzlichen Glückwunsch!” and looking forward to the next 50 million.
