The third round of the 2021 FIM CEV Repsol Championship took place at the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit last weekend where four Malaysian riders took part in three different categories. The highlight of it all belongs to Syarifuddin Azman aka "Damok" who took home his maiden win in the Moto3 category for Race 1.

Damok was on a role to continue his blazing pace in Race 2, but was unfortunately caught in an incident with two other riders that led to his 'Did Not Finish' result. Nevertheless, the young Malaysian is now within the top 10 championship rankings together with this team's overall racing efforts, SIC Racing.

According to Damok, "I am content and thankful for today. I won the first race but unfortunately I crashed in the second race. Another rider crashed into me. Me and my team worked so hard to find the right bike setup all weekend. And it was all worth it. I would like to say thanks to my family, sponsors, team and friends. This trophy is for Malaysia!"

For Moto2, Adam Norrodin (Liqui Moly Intact SIC Racing Team) had a blazing pace to be within the top 5 range but unfortunately crashed out of Race 1 with four laps remaining. He was in P4 at the time. Adam was able to redeem himself in Race 2 where he crossed the chequered flag in P4. He's now fourth overall in the Moto2 championship rankings.

"It's quite difficult this time around in Race 1. I crashed whilst being in 4th place with 4 more laps to go. Nevertheless, I didn't waste my 2nd race and keep pushing harder. Battling with Xavi Cardelus for 4th place and I managed to overtake him in the last lap. This round was a roller coaster for me and I really look forward for the next round in Portugal. Thank you to all the sponsors and supporters," commented Adam Norrodin.

The European Talent Cup was graced by the presence of Muhammad Sharul Ezwan and Hakim Danish. Sharul crossed the finish line in P14, whereas Hakim Danish finished in a respectable P19 out of the 29 riders who finished the race. This was Hakim's first outing in the European Talent Cup.

The next round of the 2021 FIM CEV Repsol Championship will take place at the Algarve International Circuit, Portugal on 4 July 2021.
