Lotus Emira V6 First Edition lands in Malaysia - 400hp, 430Nm
The Lotus Emira V6 looks so much better in real life. Priced at RM1.1 million, it should be.
Back in November, Lotus Car Malaysia officially announced that the brand's latest and greatest sports car yet, the Lotus Emira V6, will be making its way to our shores. Today, we witnessed its official arrival, and if you have RM1,131,000 in the bank with nothing to do, you can cop one of these limited First Edition models.
According to Matt Windle, Managing Director of Lotus Cars, "The Emira is the most accomplished Lotus we've ever made, and to celebrate and reward our keenest early customers, we want to make the first cars extra special to own. The features have been carefully selected by our design team to make for a truly special and distinct First Edition."
Following the evolution that started out with the Elise, Exige, and Evora, the Emira is said to be the brand's final internal combustion-powered sports car before Lotus heads into the world of EVs (check out the all-electric Lotus Electre in the link below).
This is why its 3.5-litre V6 engine gets the supercharged treatment that allows the Emira to produce 400hp and 430Nm of torque. Managing that power can be done via its six-speed manual transmission, but there's also the automatic gearbox with paddle shifters as an option.
