Listen to the V12 Aston Martin Valkyrie scream at the Bahrain GP
Aston takes its F1-inspired rocket ship for a few laps at last weekend's F1. Here's a little taster of that V12
One surefire way of sprinkling a little glamour into the most glamorous of motorsports is simple: cry Aston Martin, and let slip the cylinders of V12.
Last weekend, Aston unleashed its Valkyrie AMR Pro (that's the track ready hypercar) ahead of the Bahrain GP, and for two glorious laps, Formula One was once more taken back to a golden era of V12 engines shrieking around a circuit. For the Valkyrie carries within its svelte flanks one 6.5-litre V12 monster built by Cosworth and capable of 1,000bhp.
It'll rev to 11,000rpm and... hey, you know everything there is to know about the Valkyrie. What you don't know is what it sounds like. Helpfully, AM has provided a little teaser of that V12 going flat out.
Turn this one up as loud as you can.
You’ll want the sound turned up for this.
