For starters, there’s a new asymmetrical groove design that rigidifies the tread pattern to provide excellent grip during dynamic cornering. There’s also a hybrid belt made of Aramid and nylon that promises dynamic steering response and driving precision.

Also new is the Pilot Sport 4 SUV’s compound, which incorporates innovative functional elastomers and thin silica. Coupled with an improved tread pattern, this new tyre also promises better grip and wet braking performance.

In fact, Michelin claims that the new Pilot Sport 4 SUV placed first in a wet handling test held against other premium tyre brands, taking as quickly as 5.06 seconds faster to complete the 1,050 metres track than its competitors in said test.

In typical Michelin fashion, there’s also the promise of excellent longevity of up to 13,000 kilometres more than other premium tyre brands based on independent tests.

Michelin credits the Pilot Sport 4 SUV’s intelligent design that incorporates rigid tread blocks and a high-density double casing ply for increased robustness against road shock damages.

Available now via TYREPLUS outlets and authorised dealers nationwide, the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV is offered in 39 sizes ranging from 17- to 23-inch diameters, whilst an additional rim protector is also available for all dimensions.
