Lamborghini celebrates 400th Huracán race car production

By sep, 07 April 2021

The last six years have been very good for Lamborghini where a total of 400 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo and GT3s were produced since 2014. During those very active racing seasons, the Huracán GT3, in particular, took home nearly 100 race wins and to celebrate, the 400th race car was celebrated at the Lamborghini headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy.

According to Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, "We are proud of the milestone, which is important not only for Squadra Corse but for the whole company. In a few years, Squadra Corse has established itself in the most important international competitions and the Huracán GT3 and Super Trofeo are an undisputed point of reference in the Gran Turismo category."

Their decision to launch the very first Huracán Super Trofeo back in 2014 led to the birth of the Huracán GT3 which took reign in GT Racing. This resulted in nearly 100 victories, including Daytona 24 Hours, which they won three consecutive times. Other achievements include wins at Sebring 12 Hours twice as well as the “triple crown” of the GT World Challenge Europe in 2019.

Last year was probably their most active time yet with the Huracán GT3 Evos being represented by 24 different teams across the globe that included a total of 88 different drivers. Rest assured that there will be more in 2021 and beyond.
