Honda Malaysia has added the RS variant to the HR-V family, and it can be previewed at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show which is open to the public beginning tomorrow. The compact SUV comes with Honda’s new Solid Face design concept with new LED headlights, LED Daytime Running Lights, LED foglights and rear combi LED guide lights.

The HR-V RS also comes with sporty 18-inch alloys with dual tone, with new bumper at the rear and front. Other details such as dark chrome outer handle, black chrome license garnish, black side sill and mesh fog garnish.

A new leather seat colour of Ivory White may seem to be a gamble since Malaysian generally likes darker tones – easier to keep clean, you see – but I do like it. Other new items inside the cabin are the sports pedal and 8-way powered seat for the driver. Even more impressive is the addition of Honda LaneWatch camera. Other safety features include six airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist, and multi-angle rear-view camera.

The HR-V compact SUV was recently given a facelift with Honda Malaysia getting more than 4,100 bookings since the order book was opened in July. The HR-V remains one of the most popular models in the Honda Malaysia line-up after 72,200 units has been sold since it was first introduced in 2015.

Honda Malaysia has yet to reveal the price of the HR-V RS. That will obviously be announced once it’s officially launched.
