Hyundai owners are urged to send their vehicles for servicing only at authorised                 Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors, which is an even more relevant ask since there is an ongoing promotion expiring 31 July 2018. This service promotion that gives discounts for selected genuine parts started 1 June 2018 and also gives 10 per cent off for labour costs, plus a 15 per cent discount for a fuel system cleaner. In addition, customers who spend RM500 or more on service gets a mystery gift.

Grand Starex Royale owners gets a special promotion of 50 per cent discount on genuine parts and two mystery gifts (with RM500 and above for service).

This announcement comes off the back of news reports which revealed the sales of fake Hyundai and Kia parts by unauthorised auto parts dealers. The parts were fast moving/critical parts too that includes spark plugs, brake pads, air filters, and oil filters. Worse, it was reported that these fake parts were sold at prices similar to the genuine ones.
