The all-electric Hyundai Ioniq 5 is now open for booking

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) will be launching its latest 'ultimate electric vehicle', the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Following the successful introduction and sale of their Hyundai Kona Electric last November, the incoming Ioniq 5 will be officially launched this month, and you can already place your booking for one.

Just like the Kona Electric, the Ioniq 5 will be available in two different power configurations based on either the 58kWh or 72.7kWh battery pack. Customers can also select between two different electric motor layouts, one rear motor or two motors (one at each end). All of the Ioniq 5 models will have an 'outstanding' range as well as a top speed of 185km/h.

Other highlights for the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5 are:

• Hyundai's first 'clamshell' front hood
• Auto flush door handles
• Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) architecture
• Aero-optimized wheels + more

For those who are interested to catch a 'glimpse' of the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5, a boxed-up teaser display will be on showcase at 1 Utama Shopping Centre from 2-6 March 2022. If you want to book for one, the fee is only RM1,000.
