Right, listen up folks, it’s story time…

Rumour has it that Stetson hats became known as ‘cowboy hats’ the world over because, way back in the mid-1800s, John B Stetson was out on a hunting trip and had fashioned himself a wide-brimmed head-piece to offer protection from the elements.

Apparently, a wandering cowboy saw this masterpiece and rode over to Stetson in his Bentley Bentayga. He offered John B a five-dollar gold piece and set off into the sunset with the first western Stetson on his head.

Okay, okay – some of the details in that story may be incorrect. As Abraham Lincoln famously said: “Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.”

Anyway, Stetson is still going strong to this day, and it has now teamed up with Bentley Dallas to produce this rootin’-tootin’ Bentayga special edition.

You’ll need a few gold pieces to prise it from its handler, though. The Stetson Edition will cost £190,000 (approx. RM996,000). It features a white sand exterior and a camel hide interior – employing stitching techniques from cowboy boots and saddles, and looking mighty fine in traditional Stetson colours.

There’s also plenty of Stetson logos that are embroidered using saddle stitching, plus some truly stonkin’ wood that was grown in the good ol’ US of A.

There have been no changes to the stallions under the bonnet, though. You’ll get 542 of the things from that 4.0-litre vee-eight, meaning a top speed of 290kph. That should be enough to round up a few loose cows on the ranch.

Like what you see? You’ll have to mosey on down to Bentley Dallas. This is a Texas-only special edition.
