Banting now boasts the newest Honda 3S centre in the Central region of Malaysia, and also the first of such facility in the area. Owned and operated by Banting Star Sdn. Bhd., this development is in line with Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd’s focus to provide more convenience to customers beyond the urban areas.
Banting Star invested RM15 million to get this 3S centre ready, with the main building taking 23,250 square foot of space that comprises of 16 bays (11 service bays, three general repairs, and two for tyre services). The daily capacity for repairs and service is 44 cars per day.
HMSB is reporting a sales number of 24,100 units during first quarter 2018. As such, HMSB maintains its position as the no.1 car brand in the non-national segment, and no.2 in the overall TIV.
While their cars are being worked on, customers have access to a customer lounge, an Executive Lounge, café counter, a kids’ corner, and a surau. WiFi, car wash, road tax renewal and insurance coverage are all extra services provided at the Banting Star 3S centre.
In a related note, Honda Malaysia (HMSB) is reporting a sales number of 24,100 units during first quarter 2018. As such, HMSB maintains its position as the no.1 car brand in the non-national segment, and no.2 in the overall TIV (Total Industry Volume). From that Q1 number, the Central region posts the highest sales with more than 11,500 units, or 48 per cent of the total. Selangor took the highest portion of that with 6,900 units sold, the Honda City being the most popular model.
The opening of the new Banting Star 3S centre will help to support the increased after-sales demand, particularly in the region. From January to March 2018, this region showed a service intake of more than 148,100 units, which is a 10 per cent increase in the same period last year.
HMSB has also ensured that all technicians are well trained to deliver high quality service. The company has also introduced express dealerships to widen after-sales service support by offering fast service within 90 minutes.
