By sep, 09 March 2021

Honda Malaysia has introduced the Honda CONNECT, its latest smartphone app that uses smart Telematics Technology which allows users to digitally connect with their cars. This app offers safety, security, and convenience to future Honda owners, starting with the all-new Honda City RS e:HEV variant.

The Honda CONNECT app will offer several key functions which include vehicle diagnostics, remote and security applications, vehicle tracking, as well as support services in a bid to offer higher levels of accessibility between owners, cars, and Honda Malaysia. This will ultimately create better peace of mind and convenience for Honda owners here in the country.

According to Mr Toichi Ishiyama, Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and CEO, “The technology within Honda CONNECT embodies Honda’s vision of value creation for mobility and people’s daily lives. Driven by the passion to share the 3 Joys of Honda through this intelligent and advanced technology, we seek to improve the daily lives of our customers with an innovative and advanced information platform that provides multiple benefits such as peace of mind, convenience and most importantly, fun!”

“This innovative technology is set to redefine safety, security and convenience for Honda car owners, allowing them to fully experience and enjoy their Honda car while enabling us to provide round-the-clock support to our valued customers. The Honda CONNECT technology will be available in the All-New City RS e:HEV variant which will begin delivery to customers from March 2021 onwards,” added Mr Ishiyama.

Other notable features that are embedded within the Honda CONNECT are Automatic Collision Detection System, Security Alarm Detection, Speed Alert, Find My Car, Geo-Fencing Alert and Emergency Call. In case of emergencies, it is able to provide immediate support via Honda’s 24 Hours Roadside Assist Call Center if it detects a collision or air bag deployment. Emergency services will be quickly deployed with immediate notification sent to the driver through push notification.

Users of the Honda CONNECT app can also get updates regarding forced entries, finding their vehicle’s exact location, service reminder notifications, remotely lock or unlock the cars, plus many more. You can also remotely start and stop the engine, turn on the air-conditioning, control the lights (to help find your car easier, especially at night), plus loads more features. What a time to be alive.
