Here’s your last chance to buy the Aston Martin Rapide AMR
Heads up folks, this is probably your last chance to acquire a fast four-door Aston Martin that is NOT the DBX. Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur (AMKL) announced this week that it has TWO Aston Martin Rapide AMR final-run specials up for grabs.
To refresh your memory, the Rapide AMR stands as the curtain call for Aston’s idea of what a four-door, four-seater super GT ought to be. Well, when it packs a stratospheric-revving naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12, who can argue, right?
Tweaked by Aston Martin Racing (AMR), just 210 units were built since its 2018 debut. There’s 595bhp and 630Nm on tap powering the rear wheels via a recalibrated 8-speed auto box, allowing for 0-100kph in 4.4 secs and a 330kph claimed V-Max.
To complement the ramped up powertrain, AMR have blessed it with beefed up braking hardware too. The package features 400mm carbon ceramic rotors up front, 360mm at the back, with a six/four piston calipers setup front and rear.
Other key AMR features include lightweight forged wheels that also provide enhanced brake ventilation, AMR-tuned suspension that sees this super four-door sit 10mm lower, Zagato-designed grille, and the aggressive carbon fibre splitter, sills, rear diffuser and boot spoiler set.
On board, there’s yet more carbon bits, the optional One-77 steering wheel, as well as many logos and a plaque to signify this special. As for the exterior, AMKL has one dressed in a ‘Signature’ green with lime stripes and accents, followed by another finished in ‘Standard’ black with lime accents.
Notably, these are the last two still-new units in the region according to AMKL. Each commands a base retail price of RM1.1 million (*before duties and taxes).
